After an extended beta test, WhatsApp has added a free voice calling feature to its Android app. This makes WhatsApp more competitive against services like Skype, Viber and Apple/ iMessage/FaceTime.
The WhatsApp calling feature is finally here for everyone: and we really mean everyone this time. The most eagerly-anticipated Android feature we've seen in a long time is now rolling out everywhere - without any WhatsApp call ''invitation'' required.
How to enable WhatsApp voice calls
Important : Be warned that there is a WhatsApp calling scam doing the rounds. Read up, be wary and spread the word.
The WhatsApp calling feature is available on version 2.12.5, but the Google Play Store currently offers the older version 2.12.19. It does not require someone with WhatsApp call feature already activated to call you. All you need to do is hit up the WhatsApp website and download v2.12.19.
Important : Check unknown source enable in your device and then install whatsapp apk file
After installing the APK file and opening WhatsApp, you will see a new tab for Calls next to the Chats and Contacts tab. Tap on the Calls tab and select the name of the person that you want to call.
Summary :
- Update your WhatsApp app to at least v2.11.561.
- Get someone who already has the WhatsApp voice calling feature enabled to call you.
- Once you answer the call, three tabs will appear at the top of your WhatsApp interface - calls, chats and contacts. This means voice calling has been enabled.
Question/Answer : Some people say after update latest version of whatsapp but no show calling feature. "This latest version inbuilt calling feature" Or your device not show Calling feature then you call from your friend to your whatsapp number and after receive call, calling feature auto activated"
After recieve call not activated calling feature then you call your whatsapp number on your second friend this time definitely (after receive call) activated feature."
