Broadband internet is our most
favorite choice when we want to access internet at home. But the Broadband
Internet Speed is that much important as much your requirement has ability to
consume. In the time of 3G, 4G or LTE that is Long Term Evolution we need a
better understanding of the various speeds and its capabilities. People choose
broadband because it is more reliable and beneficial to us in terms of speed.
Now a days internet is a must for every stage of life, we have been using it
since last decades in more growing numbers. Generally Broadband's speed starts
from 256Kbps to 8Mbps where it is depends upon us what to choose between them.
As we are always searching for that why my actual speed of downloading is
lesser than speed promised by internet service providers. That is because we
uses Kbps or Mbps in internet here Kb is used for Kilo Bit not as Kilo Byte and
Mb is used for Mega Bit not as Mega Byte. There is a common difference between
them, You can measure what will be your actual speed of broadband and any other
internet speeds as dividing the Numbers with Eight. Means if we are using
512Kbps internet speed then our actual download speed would be 512 / 8 = 64KB/S
and here the 64KB/S will be Kilo Byte. There are so many ISP (Internet Service
Provider) in the market like - Tata, Vodafone, Reliance and AT&T and many
more. So as per you requirement you can compare and differentiate your
requirement based on usages.
256Kbps Broadband Internet - If you are single user and usages are not more than
checking emails and receiving it & reading articles, news and posts then
256kbps is sufficient for the Basic user. You can save your cost of
internet what lump-sum amount we gives to our service providers. It
is totally on you are you interested to more than these things or
not. It is also known as starter plan also for basic users.
512Kbps Broadband Internet - If your usages is little bit more like checking
emails, surfing websites or blogs, watching short videos then 512kbps Broadband
internet is better option for you. This is the most better choice for
the normal users. Broadband Internet providers like Vodafone, Reliance, Airtel,
MTNL / BSNL and our local TV Cable service providers more likely to give there
plans which starts from 512kbps speed. This speed is generally used by Normal
users only.
1Mbps Broadband Internet - If you have more than basic needs on internet then you
really need 1Mbps speed or may be more. If you are interested in
downloading and uploading files from websites, sending heavy attachments on
emails or watch many videos on YouTube in just no buffering time so this
1Mbps Broadband speed if for you. This speed is generally used by Power users
only.
2Mbps - 4Mbps - 8Mbps Broadband
Internet - If you have more than 2 PCs
and want to share internet in all of them then you have to take advantage of
more higher speeds like 2Mbps, 4Mbps or 8Mbps also. This depends upon
the Numbers of Computers and Usages time this may be same time for all PC or
different time using internet. If there are 2 ~ 4 PCs are at work place then
2Mbps or 4Mbps would be best. If you have more numbers then 8Mbps would be best
option. Generally this range of internet speeds are used in Offices and
Organization only.
Comparison Chart - Between

This chart would be more
understandable with the actual needs. For example we have taken 1MB file to download
over the internet using all type of Broadband speeds.
